THE EXPERIENCE
A Journey Into Silence, Sound & Renewal
Soulful Silence is a 4-day retreat designed to help you step away from noise, stimulation, and daily demands so you can return to the quiet wisdom within.
Held on Salt Spring Island, this retreat blends meditation, gentle yoga, breathwork, Yoga Nidra, sound healing, nature, rest, nourishing vegetarian meals, and a restorative spa experience at Solace Organic Spa.
This is not about doing silence perfectly. It is about creating enough space for your body to soften, your nervous system to regulate, and your inner clarity to emerge.
A Retreat for Rest, Clarity & Creative Renewal
Over four days, you’ll move through a gentle rhythm of guided practice, quiet reflection, nourishing meals, and spacious time in nature.
Mornings begin with meditation, breath, and gentle movement. Afternoons offer room to rest, journal, walk the forest trails, visit the lake, enjoy the sauna, or simply do nothing. Evenings close with restorative practices, Yoga Nidra, and immersive sound journeys with Farhad.
Held in supportive silence outside of guided sessions, the retreat creates space for your system to slow down, your thoughts to settle, and your natural creativity and intuition to rise.
YOUR HOST
Farhad Khan
SOUND HEALER · YOGA & MEDITATION TEACHER
Farhad Khan is the creative visionary and experiential architect behind each Studio 11 journey.
A sound healer, yoga teacher, breathwork practitioner, meditation guide, and life coach, Farhad brings over two decades of dedicated study and facilitation to his work. His journey with yoga began in 2001, when the practice profoundly shifted his own well-being and eventually became his life’s purpose.
Farhad is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher with over 10,000 hours of Yoga Alliance certifications across Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, Somatic, Nidra, and Kundalini yoga. He has studied with master teachers around the world, from ashrams across India to studios throughout North America and Europe. In 2007, he founded Maa Yoga & Wellness Studio in North Vancouver, where he spent 15 years building community through yoga, meditation, and sound healing.
Through his work at Farhad Khan Sound, he has led immersive local and international retreats for nearly twenty years, guiding individuals and executive teams alike into deeper clarity, nervous-system regulation, and connection.
His mastery of crystal alchemy bowls, gongs, handpan, chimes, mantra, breath, and Yoga Nidra creates transformative sound experiences that support emotional release and spiritual reconnection. Yet what distinguishes Farhad most is not only his technical mastery. It is the quality of presence he brings into a space.
Having personally navigated anxiety and depression, Farhad teaches from lived wisdom and radical compassion. He understands that transformation is not performance. It is remembrance.
His gift is not simply facilitation. It is experience architecture.
At Soulful Silence, Farhad shapes the emotional rhythm of the retreat so participants feel grounded, expanded, and deeply supported, held in a space where insight can arise naturally.

The Benefits of a Silent Retreat
Silence is one of the most powerful healing tools we have. In a world full of noise and constant stimulation, choosing quiet gives your mind, body, and spirit the rare opportunity to reset and return to clarity.
A silent retreat supports:
-
Silence activates the parasympathetic “rest and restore” response, easing stress, anxiety, and mental fatigue.
-
With fewer external distractions, thoughts untangle and emotions soften, creating space for grounded decision-making.
-
Writers, artists, and thinkers often find new ideas and insights arise naturally in silence.
-
Quiet supports beginners and experienced practitioners in accessing deeper presence and focus.
-
Silence creates space to notice your patterns, desires, and intuitive guidance more clearly.
-
Stillness allows emotions to surface gently, offering release, relief, and renewed inner peace.
-
Without noise, the senses heighten—wind, breath, texture, movement—allowing nature to become a teacher.
-
Unplugging helps reduce overstimulation and creates healthier tech boundaries.
-
Silence opens the doorway back to yourself, your heart, and deeper truths.
-
Participants often return home refreshed, grounded, and inspired—with tools they can integrate daily.
